Our team

The people behind GeoSutra

Five forestry-science graduates who met doing fieldwork in Nepal's hills. We pair real time on the ground with drones, maps and data — and bring grants and experience from National Geographic, IUCN, the Explorers Club and the UN climate talks.

Our vision

Every forest in Nepal, measured — so the people who protect it can prove it, restore it and finance it.

Measured, not modelled

Results you can audit against the ground — every number traces to a plot, a flight or an open dataset.

Community-first

Built for the user groups, offices and donors who actually steward Nepal's forests.

Open by default

We build on open data so our work stays transparent and reproducible.
